We love competitions at Festival and it only makes sense to compile our terms and conditions on one page, to ensure all entrants are clear on the rules before entering! This is to avoid any miscommunication when entering and to make sure we all have an enjoyable experience. The House Rules are applied to all competitions. If a competition requires extra terms and conditions, they can be found below the House Rules.

House Rules

Winners will be chosen at random from the ballot of correct answers. All winner announcements will be final – no discussion will take place. The winners will be announced via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram (depending on the competition location). Winner has three days to claim prize via private message on relevant social media site. Prizes may require pick up from Festival Leisure Park. No cash alternative. All prizes are non-transferable. The promoter and creator of these competitions is Festival Leisure Park. The promotion is not sponsored or associated with Facebook. Festival Leisure Park reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these T&C’s without notice. Should any entrant use improper technical means to enter, FLP reserves the right to disqualify. Entrants must be 18 years or older and must exclude Park employees, family or any person associated with the competition. Festival Leisure Park accepts no responsibility for misplaced or broken prizes.

Prize entitles one winner to quad biking experience for four people. Venues across the UK for quad biking to take place for winner to choose from. It is the responsibility of the winner to make their own arrangements for booking and transport. Prize must be claimed within three days of winners announcement. Availability varies between venues, please check details at point of booking. Minimum age varies between 12 and 16 depending on venue (those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult). Most venues also have height and weight restrictions, please check at point of booking. For safety it is possible the event may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions. Duration varies according to the choice of venue but as a guide, the experience lasts between one and two hours. Alongside an instructor, share the experience with between four and 18 other bikers, depending on the venue. Please wear flat, sturdy shoes, trousers and loose fitting, comfortable clothing that is fine to get dirty. Hats, gloves and scarves are recommended for colder months. Protective clothing is provided at some venues.

Pet of The Year 2016

Here are the following terms and conditions for Pet of The Year 2016.

1.The promoter of the ‘Pet of the Year 2016’ competition is Festival Leisure Park. The promotion is in no way endorsed, launched, implemented or associated with Facebook or Twitter. The competition is launched in association with The Enquirer.

2. The prize draw is open to UK residents aged 13 or over, excluding employees of Festival Leisure Park, or any person or company associated with the draw.

3. The competition is open for entries from Thursday 28th April 2016 to midnight on Friday 20th May 2016. Entries received after this time and date will not be counted.

4. To enter the competition, entrants must submit a picture of their pet, including the pet’s name, to either the Festival Leisure Park’s Facebook or Twitter page. This can be done by: – Posting a picture to the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/festivalleisurepark – Tweeting a picture to @basvegasessex / www.twitter.com/basvegasessex – Emailing a picture to [email protected] – Posting a picture and information to Pet of the Year 2016 competition, Management Suite, Festival Leisure Park, Festival Way, Basildon, Essex, SS14 3WB.

5. Entrants can enter as many of their different pets as they wish, however should only enter one picture per pet. Multiple photos may be deleted.

6. If an entrant does not follow the instructions to enter, the entry will not be valid. The management reserves the absolute right to disqualify any entrant to any competition which it considers has used improper technical means to enter.

7. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

8. All valid entries received by the closing date will be combined into a Facebook album on the Festival Leisure Park Facebook page. From these entries, a top ten will be picked from a team at Festival Leisure Park and The Enquirer. All decisions of the management will be final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.

9. Voters may only vote once by each voting method.

10. The top ten entries will appear in The Enquirer on Thursday 2nd June 2016, plus on the Festival Leisure Park website, Facebook and Twitter Page from Wednesday 1st June 2016.

11. The voting will commence from Wednesday 1st June 2016 to Monday 13th June 2016. Votes will be counted from: – Comment the word ‘vote’ on the specific picture from the ‘Pet of the Year 2016 finalists’ on Festival Leisure Park’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/festivalleisurepark) – Tweet @basvegasessex with the name & number of the pet voting for (www.twitter.com/basvegasessex) – Follow the instructions printed in The Enquirer series and The Enquirer website

12. Votes from all three voting methods will be combined. The three pets with the most votes will come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

13. The pets in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be announced on Festival Leisure Park’s Facebook and Twitter pages, plus in The Enquirer on Thursday 16th June.

14. The winner must contact Festival Leisure Park via Facebook or Twitter within seven days of the winning announcement to claim their prize. If no contact is made as required, Festival Leisure Park reserves the right to allow the pet in 2nd place to be promoted to 1st place.

15. The pets in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will each receive a prize package. The prize package may change at any time. No expenses incurred in connection with the prize draw will be paid other than as set out in these terms and conditions.

16. There are no cash alternatives: the prize must be accepted as offered, is non-transferable, subject to availability and cannot be exchanged. Products/prizes obtained through the promotion are not subject to refund or exchange. Prizes may not be received for up to 60 days after winning. Selected prizes will require pre-booking.
