This film is a 3 and a half hour long masterpiece. A depressing take on the American dream with gorgeous cinematography and score. Despite its long runtime it felt like it was over in the blink of an eye. Also the library was one of the most stunning rooms I have ever seen in a film.
When visionary architect László Toth and his wife Erzsébet flee post-war Europe in 1947 to rebuild their legacy and witness the birth of modern America, their lives are changed forever by a mysterious and wealthy client.
