Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

I must start off by saying I am a massive fan of the whole Harry Potter series and the first Fantastic Beasts movie.

This movie starts a few months after the first one, Grindlewald (Johnny Depp) is being held at the Ministry and Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) is still feeling the aftermath of  his trip to New York.

During his transport from the Ministry, Grindlewald escapes and starts to gather a following, as he believes that Wizards should be ruling over the “muggles” (sound familiar?).  Whilst trying to battle Grindlewald we see some familiar characters and places appear, such as Dumbledore and Hogwarts, as well as a nod to a very familiar character mentioned in the Harry Potter movies.

All in all there is a lot more action than the first movie, but there is far too many storylines to keep track off and sometimes it makes you dizzy, however when the twists in the story do come along, boy are they good !.  The two big stars of this have to be Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law, both giving an excellent performance.
