Margot Robbie tells the true story disgraced champion U.S figure skater Tonya Harding in this, chronicling her rise to Olympic stardom and then her fall afterwards.
Tonya is an aggressive blonde with a with reputation for doing anything to win. I,Tonya illuminates the 1994 attack on rival skater Nancy Kerrigan with a cast of unlikeable characters including her violent ex-husband and domineering mother.
With this being non-fictional, all the information about what occurs can easily be accessed online but I was personally totally unaware of this astonishing tale and I almost couldn’t believe what I was seeing at times. There was truly some jaw dropping moments, and her homemade costumes really are a sight for sore eyes!
The narration of the 4 characters throughout this film aren’t shown perfectly however they actually seem to work within this fillm.
I would recommend everyone to watch this movie at least once as it is easy to really get into the storyline. It is a tad too long at 2 hours hours but it is hugely enjoyable with many memorable moments not to be missed.
